MY OWN LOVE STORY
Jacob and I met back in August of 2021 at ... oddly enough ... a wedding. No, I was not working, we were both guests! Who knew we had mutual friends?! Jacob was bold and just started talking to me at cocktail hour. To be honest I rolled my eyes a little when he told me he was a pilot but it was just small chat and getting to know each other. As the night went on there wasn’t much till at the end of the evening he asked for my number and I turned him down due to dating someone else at the time.
After that evening I noticed he became rather persistent by following me on Instagram and sliding into my DMs a month or so later. We kept our conversation through instagram for a couple of months. We connected immediately on our love of Jesus and The Word along with family, hobbies and our jobs. He finally shot his shot ... again and asked me on a date. We went on our first date in January of 2022. We quickly connected on so much and I felt so safe and comfortable with Jacob almost instantly. We started talking about marriage pretty early on and six months later on August 15, 2022 we got engaged in the garden of the Carnton historic home in Franklin, TN.
We knew we wanted a little bit of a longer engagement since we were doing things a little more untraditional. We decided to have a small and intimate immediate family only wedding in Colorado. We officially tied the knot in front of a little white chapel in the mountains of Silverton, CO on October 13, 2023. Our day was truly perfect. Full of love, laughs and lots of happy tears.
